PEPPERMINT MATCHA MOCHA

INGREDIENTS
- 3g CHÃ Matcha
- 1 tsp cocoa powder
- ½ tsp peppermint extract
- 200ml milk
- Sweetener of choice
METHOD
Step 1: Sift matcha into a bowl and whisk with 30ml of hot water at 80°C until smooth and frothy
Step 2: In a separate cup, mix cocoa powder with a small amount of warm milk until fully dissolved. No lumps.
Step 3: Add remaining milk and peppermint extract to the cocoa mixture and stir well
Step 4: Pour the chocolate mint milk into your serving cup
Step 5: Slowly pour the matcha over the top of the chocolate mint layer
Step 6: Add sweetener to taste, stir lightly and sip your peppermint matcha mocha slowly. This one is a whole experience.
Cha Tips
- Use good quality cocoa powder for the richest, most indulgent chocolate flavour
- Start with ¼ tsp peppermint extract and add more to taste. A little goes a very long way
- Oat milk gives the smoothest, creamiest result with this combination
- Add a tiny pinch of sea salt to the cocoa mixture. It deepens the chocolate flavour beautifully
This peppermint matcha mocha recipe works hot or iced. For iced, add ice after step 3 and pour matcha over the top
